The only way we live beyond our lives is to connect and carve ourselves into the souls of those we love

Elise Hearden - Motivated Movers Portrait.jpg

Elise is an arts educator, performing artist, entrepreneur, and arts administrator with a strong commitment to fostering community. Currently pursuing her Masters in Arts Management at Columbia College Chicago, Elise is looking to spend every day inspiring potential in artists and communities, both on and off the dance floor.

Elise graduated from Oklahoma City University with a B.A. in American Dance Pedagogy, focusing on ballet, jazz, and tap for the musical theater stage.  She brings her passion for "vitamins" (aka technique) to every classroom. Since then she has performed and choreographed across the country both professionally and for educational theatre.  Highlights include Ginger (I Love A Piano), Lead Dancer (Smoky Mountain Opry), Dance Captain (Thoroughly Modern Millie), and Choreographer (Bunnicula, Hangar Theatre).  On the other side of the table Elise had the pleasure of serving as Casting Director for the Hangar Theatre's 2014 and 2015 Seasons, in addition to assisting Artistic Director, Jen Waldman.

Nothing brings Elise more joy than witnessing artists' "Aha!" moments, seeing a love of movement develop, and inspiring you to embrace your authentic self.
